Hi, I’m Erin.

GET TO KNOW ME

Erin Carlson, MS, LPC

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with children and adults navigating anxiety, overwhelming emotions, life transitions, and challenges in their relationships.

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself, without pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is to create a warm, accepting space where you or your child can feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, catching the latest movies, and finding little ways to slow down and enjoy life.

Connection comes first.

MY APPROACH

I believe that feeling truly seen, heard, and accepted is at the heart of meaningful change. Whether I'm working with a child or an adult, building a trusting relationship is always where we begin.

My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect for each person's unique experiences. I don't believe therapy should be about fixing someone or telling them who they need to be. Instead, I focus on creating a space where clients can explore their feelings, better understand themselves, and discover their own capacity for growth.

With children, this often happens through play, where they can express themselves in ways that feel natural and comfortable. With adults, our work is collaborative and guided by what feels most important to you. In both, I value authenticity, connection, and meeting each person where they are.

MY BACKGROUND

What shapes my work.

I earned both my bachelor's degree in Psychology and my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas, where I also completed specialized training in play therapy.

My education and training have shaped the way I understand emotional development, relationships, and the ways people experience and express their feelings. I continue to value learning and growing as a counselor, bringing curiosity, compassion, and an individualized approach to my work with children and adults.

Let’s see if we’re a good fit.

Finding the right therapist is an important decision. If you're wondering whether we might be a good fit, I'd be happy to connect and answer your questions.
